The entire three-stage course represents in the region of 1500 hours of study time. For Modules 1-6 each homework assignment is expected to take around 3 hours to complete, and approximately 4 hours for Modules 7-12 where you’ll need to demonstrate additional research over and above the extensive course notes. Some case study work is required; from Module 8 onwards you’ll be asked to find volunteers from family members or your friends. Each case history will be submitted for evaluation by your tutor, who will provide feedback to you

Attendance requirements

You’ll need to attend a minimum of 1 x two-day (10 hours) tutorial before you complete Stage One (Module 6) and a subsequent minimum of another 2 x two-day (10 hours each) tutorials before you complete Stage Two (Module 12). Clinical Practice training after completion of Module 12 requires 50 hours of tutorial attendance. You are also encouraged to attend seminars run by various supplement manufacturers that are held in a number of towns and cities across the UK

Clinical Practice

Assessment

There are no exams for this course as successful completion is dependent upon continuous assessment of your skills

How long will it take to complete the course?

The answer to that is very much dependent upon the time you have available for study. The course provides the flexibility to study to some degree at your own pace but as it is intended for students who have a serious intention to set up in practice, you’ll be expected to commit to submitting a coursework assignment every 6-8 weeks i.e. stage one and stage two training should each take approximately 36-48 weeks to complete. Clinical Practice training is spread over a structured timescale of approx 36-40 weeks

Course Fees

The fee includes coursework modules and assessment of written homework assignments. Coursework modules are sent electronically to students via email and written homework assignments are also sent for marking and returned to students by email. Prospective students who would prefer to receive printed coursework modules and/or to send assignments by post would incur a surcharge to cover the additional costs involved (please contact us for details of the current cost)
